Drunken Poet Cafe
The Drunken Poet Cafe is a Thai Bistro and sushi bar that was named among the best of downtown by Creative Loafing in 2007, and was also nominated for "Sarasota's Best Sushi" in 2008. The restaurant's small menu selection features classic Thai recipes such as Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and duck tamarind with baby bokchoy, tamarind sauce and crispy onions. The Drunken Poet's creative sushi rolls include the "Sexy Man Roll" with tuna, avocado, tempura eel and "sexy" sauce, and the "Thai Poet Roll" with tofu, avocado, spicy sauce, peanut sauce and Thai pepper. Appetizers include chicken satay, spring rolls, fried tofu and curry puffs.

Taste of Asia
Taste of Asia serves Lao, Thai, Vitenamese and vegan food, and the large menu features nearly 100 dishes. "Sarasota" magazine's food critic has given special praise to Taste of Asia's "wonderful" appetizers, such as Thai satay with peanut sauce, and also recommended the Yum Duck entree and hot and sour Tom Yum Goong soup with shrimp and mushrooms.
