Brunch Theme Ideas

Holding a brunch is a lovely way to spend time with family and friends. Brunch, which is typically a spread of breakfast and lunch food, does not have to be intimidating to prepare and can be quite fun! One way to make brunch even more fun is to add a theme.

Beach Brunch

Whether held during the summer or as a break from the winter cold, having a beach-themed brunch is sure to be a swimming time! Guests can start their meal with a summery mix of orange juice, pineapple juice and cherry grenadine. The breakfast food spread can consist of pancakes with pineapple/mango salsa, fruit salad, banana French toast and orange/coconut scones. The more savory lunch spread can be compiled of coconut shrimp, ham and pineapple and mango chicken. Beach brunches can be made by simply adding some form of fruit to your dish!

All-American Brunch

An All-American brunch is a classic brunch with down-home favorites. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes are just a few ideas for breakfast foods. Hot dogs, fried or baked chicken and hamburgers are some fabulous ideas for lunch. Sides can include potato salad, coleslaw, fruit salad and chocolate chip cookies.

Kid Brunch

A kid-friendly brunch is a great way to get your child excited about breakfast. Chocolate-chip pancakes, French toast sticks or banana-nut muffins are easy to make and easy to eat. It is important to make food simple and easy to eat for a kid brunch. Lunch options for a kid brunch include hot dogs, macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets. Some side ideas include French fries, apple slices and grapes.

International Brunch

Who would not want to attend a brunch with an international flair? This brunch would feature favorite foods from around the world. Breakfast ideas include Mexican omelets with cheese and salsa, apple strudel, potato pancakes with sausage, crepes and a variety of pastries. Lunch options can include a sushi platter, quiche Florentine, egg rolls and fried rice.
