Crush Pretzels

Use pretzels in place of traditional bread ingredients in a variety of dishes.


Crushed pretzels can add an interesting flavor, texture and saltiness to everything from desserts to salads. Use everyday kitchen items to pulverize your pretzels, and don't be afraid to experiment in your kitchen. Add them to your favorite cheesecake crust or toss them with homemade macaroni and cheese for a delicious crispy texture. Blend crushed pretzels with mustard and use them as a coating for oven fried chicken. No matter how you use them, crusted pretzels are a versatile pantry staple.


Instructions


1. Place the desired amount of pretzels into a gallon sized zipper bag.


2. Remove as much air as possible from the bag.








3. Seal the zipper firmly.








4. Place the bag on a solid surface and beat with a rolling pin.


5. Pulverize the pretzels by rolling the pin back and forth until you have reached the desired level of crumbliness. Use the pretzel powder as desired.
