See a show at the Hollywood Palladium.
Open in 1940 and standing on the site of the original Paramount lot, the Hollywood Palladium is a Los Angeles landmark. With a dance floor that can accommodate more than 7,000 people, some of the biggest stars--from Frank Sinatra to The Ramones--have performed at the Palladium. A year-long renovation of the art deco style building was completed and marked in 2008 with a Jay-Z concert making the Hollywood Palladium once again a standout among concert venues. Numerous restaurants are located near the Palladium for concertgoers to enjoy before or after a show.
BoHo Restaurant
The dining room at BoHo is filled with natural light while patrons dine in comfy leather chairs and booths. The center of the room features a large, family-style table for large parties. A bottom-less mimosa brunch is available on Sundays, and the menu features a fusion of international cuisines. Appetizers include an Ahi tower as well as mushroom toasts (toasted brioche, oyster mushrooms and cream). For dinner, try the coriander masala salmon (tandoori spiced salmon served with squash and lemon-cashew basmati rice) or the kalbi pizza (Korean shortribs, kimchee, chili paste, scallions and fontina cheese). Finish the meal off with the zeppolis--Italian doughnuts.

Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles
Open until 4 a.m., Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles is a well known Hollywood staple. Located off of Sunset Boulevard on Gower Street near the Sunset Gower studios, the restaurant is easy to miss with its unassuming entrance. Once inside, diners feel at home in the kitschy dining room and with the friendly staff. Chicken and waffles are the mainstay here, but other dishes are available as well. A chicken burger and chef salad are available along with Big Mama's Special (scrambled eggs mixed with onions and cheese served with potatoes and gravy and a hot biscuit).

Bowery
Bowery is a New York-style bistro right in the heart of Hollywood. The simple, white-tiled store front is reminiscent of the inside of a New York subway station. A small, cozy dining room sits just inside, and glass shelves behind the bar are stacked with hundreds of bottles. The menu features American/French cuisine and is available for lunch and dinner. Start with a bowl of the roasted tomato soup with an herb goat cheese crouton. Move on to the moules frites (steamed mussels with garlic, leeks, white wine, tomatoes and saffron) or the Bowery burger. The restaurant also serves a list of hand-picked wines and beers.
