Removing A Dent From A Stainless Steel Fridge

Stainless steel refrigerators are an expensive investment.

Stainless steel refrigerators are very stylish, but they are also prone to dents and damage. A stainless steel refrigerator is an expensive investment, and you want it to look good for as long as possible. If your fridge is dented, don't despair. A large dent will most likely require professional repair, but if the dent is small, with no creases or deep corners, you might be able to remove it yourself.

Instructions

1. Put on work gloves to protect your hands. Plug in a blow dryer in the outlet nearest your fridge. Turn the blow dryer onto the high setting, and heat the dented area of the fridge until the metal is hot.

2. Immediately place a piece of dry ice against the dented area. Rub the ice in the dent in small circles. Continue for one minute.

3. Remove the ice and wait for three to five minutes. As the metal contracts from the cold, the dent may pop out. If the dent doesn't pop out, repeat the above steps.

4. Contact a professional appliance repair shop if the dent persists after three attempts to remove it.

Tips Warnings

Heat the dented area until it is hot before applying the ice. If it is only warm, the dent will not pop out.

Look for dry ice at your local supermarkets, or contact an ice supplier.

.Do not touch dry ice with bare hands. Always put on gloves before handling dry ice.
