Free wine tastings may be taking place this weekend in your local Boston neighborhood or in a nearby town. The event may coincide with a seasonal food event at a local restaurant or wine store. The wineries in the area may be offering free winery tours accompanied by an invitation to taste their latest wines. Wines made in the area can have flavors of cranberries, apples, blueberries or raspberries, drawing on the abundance of local fruit available. 2. Add your name to the guest book or mailing list when you visit a or wine specialty store. The winery will notify you of special events, including free wine tasting.
3. Browse through the list of Boston wineries on the Massachusetts Wine Growers Association website, Masswinery.com. Visit the home page for each winery. Locate the events page for each winery and bookmark it. Depending on the local winery, the tasting and tour may be free. Add your email address to the winery's mailing list to be notified of special events.
