Make A Monkey Martini

Martinis are made from countless creative concoctions and ordering one is almost as complex as mixing it. Restaurants and bars now take the liberty of redefining this classic cocktail by including fruits, sweeteners, liqueurs and garnishes. For those seeking a nightcap that will satisfy the sweet tooth, the rich and creamy dessert-like Monkey Martini should do the trick.

Instructions

1. Prepare the martini glass. Moisten the rim of your glass slightly and roll it around on a plate of shredded coconut to garnish the edge.

2. Remove the top and spout's lid from the martini shaker and set them aside. Fill the tumbler half full with ice.

3. Measure the cocktail's ingredients. Combine the following portions and pour them over the ice in the tumbler: 1 ½ oz. vodka; ½ oz. of crème de banana; 1 oz. of crème de cacao and ½ oz. of Baileys Irish crème.

4. Reassemble the martini shaker's top and small spout lid. Shake vigorously for approximately 30 seconds.

5. Remove the spout lid once again, leaving the tumbler's top in place. Pour the chilled mixture through the strainer into the garnished martini glass and enjoy.
