Make A Wreath Made Out Of Tootsie Rolls

Wrapped candy can be used to create holiday wreaths.

Create a unique Tootsie Roll wreath of any shape or size for a birthday, holiday or hostess gift. Tootsie Roll wreaths can be enjoyed by all who treasure these treats. Options include hanging it on a door or wall, where anyone can grab a sweet treat at their choosing. The actual wreath forms come in many shapes and sizes, so that you can create a Tootsie Roll wreath for any holiday. You will find circle wreath forms, square wire forms, star-shaped forms, and even heart forms for Valentine's Day.

Instructions

1. Purchase wreath forms at a craft website or store. If you want to save money, get a wire clothes hanger. Cut off the hook at the top of the hanger with a pair of wire cutters. Form the wire into a ring the size of the wreath you want. Bend the ends to form little hooks. Then connect these two hooks together at the top with your pliers.

2. Take string and cut it into about 3 inch long each pieces. Take each string piece and tie it onto one end of your Tootsie Roll end. Tie the other end of the string to the wire ring.

3. Push the pieces of candy close together as you tie them to the wire wreath. Be aware that the goal is to create a tight and abundant ring of Tootsie Rolls on your wreath. Tie the candy on the wire frame until it is filled entirely.

4. Decide the color and style bow according to the theme you choose. Ideas include a big velvet red ribbon for Christmas, or a red, white and blue ribbon for the Fourth of July. Place a big ribbon bow on the top or side of the wreath. Tie a small pair of child's scissors at the bottom of the wreath for people to cut their pieces of candy off of the ring.
