Buy Thai Spices

Thai recipes often call for the use of spices that aren't necessarily available at your local grocery store. If you want to cook Thai food, finding the spices that give the authentic taste can pose somewhat of a challenge. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

1. Learn the tastes and textures of the specific Thai spices so that you can use them appropriately and create your own signature dishes.

2. Identify which spices are specifically Thai and which spices are more generic and easy to find. For example, one recipe may call for an obscure spice while another recipe may call for garlic, which can be found in any grocery store.

3. Figure out what specific Thai spices you need to make the recipe you have singled out in your cookbook. Once you know what spices you need to buy, you can narrow down your search to get them. If the spice is more mainstream, you may be able to buy it at your local grocery store. If it is a rarer, you may need to visit a special Thai market or even talk to someone at a local Thai restaurant.

4. Buy Thai spices online. There are a number of websites and online stores that make buying exotic Thai spices easy.
