Reheat A Frozen Quiche

Reheat quiche in the oven.

Quiche is an elegant choice for a brunch but simple enough to make ahead for use as a quick meal when the need arises. Quiche consists of an egg mixture with cheeses, meats and vegetables added. It is baked in a pie crust and sliced and served similar to a savory pie. One of the main concerns when freezing and reheating a quiche is keeping the crust flaky. Improper reheating can lead to soggy crust and a rubbery egg mixture.

Instructions

1. Remove the quiche from the freezer the evening before you plan to serve it. Place it in the refrigerator to defrost over night.

2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit while preparing the quiche for reheating. Set the quiche on top of a baking sheet and insert an oven thermometer into the center of the quiche.

3. Place the quiche into the preheated oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until the thermometer reads 165 Fahrenheit.

4. Slice and serve the quiche immediately after reheating. This ensures it is served while the crust is still flaky and before it starts to cool and become tough or soggy.
