Marinara sauce makes a delicious addition to many dishes.
Marinara sauce is one of the most basic and delicious sauces. It pairs well with various meats like sausage, beef and chicken, and it also makes a wonderful addition to pasta like spaghetti. No two people will make marinara the same way, but sometimes it can come out a little sour. Some may prefer it to have a sour edge, but others will find this unpleasant. Fortunately, there is a simple technique to make a sour sauce more pleasing to sensitive palates.
Instructions
1. Put marinara in a saucepan and place it over medium-low heat. Allow it to warm through.
2. Stir in a small amount of sugar. Start with 2 to 3 teaspoons to start. You may want to add a little bit more if you have a large amount of sauce. Stir until the sugar is thoroughly dissolved and mixed into the sauce.
3. Taste the marinara. If it is still too sour, add a little more sugar and stir. Taste it again. Continue adding sugar until the sauce is no longer too sour. Make sure to add the sugar slowly and taste often in order to avoid adding too much sugar and making the sauce overly sweet.
4. Serve the sweetened marinara any way you want.
