Bake Brown Sugar Bacon

Bacon is a classic breakfast staple. It is usually prepared fried up in a pan. Larger kitchens may bake it on sheets in the oven. You can purchase many types of bacon in the grocery store; but making your bacon out of the ordinary is easy with a bit of planning and time. Clean up is a breeze. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. You want to bake your bacon slowly so you don't burn the brown sugar.

2. Line two baking sheets with aluminum foil. This will make clean up easy. Spraying the foil with non-stick spray will prevent the bacon from sticking.

3. Lay out your bacon in single strips along your two baking sheets. There is some shrinkage when baking bacon. Be careful not to crowd your slices.

4. Sprinkle brown sugar over the bacon. Divide the brown sugar evenly between all the strips of bacon. Pat the brown sugar into the bacon strips. Make sure that there is no loose sugar on the foil, as it will burn.

5. Bake the bacon. This will take any where from 20 to 40 minutes. The timing will depend on how well you like your bacon done. Rotate the baking pans midway through the baking process.

6. Remove the bacon from the pan. Place on wire racks to drain away collected grease.
