1. Take guests' food preferences, diets and allergies into consideration when planning a party menu. If you will have vegans and vegetarians in attendance, make sure to provide meatless snacks and entrees. If you know that a certain party-goer is allergic to nuts, provide nut-free food options. 2. Party-goers tend to gather where the food is, so take that into consideration when setting up tables and chairs. If the food is set out buffet-style, be sure to include several seating options near the table. Provide comfortable chairs near the appetizers or punch bowl, so that guests can comfortably socialize after loading up their plates with appetizers or while sipping a drink.








3. If you are hosting a large, casual party, consider serving the food buffet-style. By doing this, you will be able to provide a wide variety of food items that are sure to please everyone. You also will be able to enjoy the party more if the food is self-service. You can hire professional chefs to work at individual "stations," serving up everything from made-to-order omelets to pasta dishes. For fun, set up an ice cream station, complete with sundae toppings and cones.


4. Set up food tables according to course. For instance, one table can be dedicated to appetizers, such and vegetable and fruit trays, while another can be set up with the main course, such as carved turkey or roast beef. Another table can display pre-made salads, and the desserts can be plated up on an end table. Guests can pick and choose what they want to eat in what order.


5. For a fancy party, hire servers to serve guests with trays. When guests arrive, they can be offered glasses of champagne and an assortment of crackers and cheese. For a seated dinner party, servers can bring the main courses and desserts directly to guests' tables. Serving food like this will give your party a sophisticated vibe, while ensuring that the food is hot and fresh.
