Make An Easy Cheesecake Flan

Cheesecake and flan are both popular desserts on their own, but when you combine then into one luscious dessert- watch out! Cheesecake flan is one of those wonderful desserts that looks like it took all day to make, but really can be made in just a few minutes. This is the perfect dessert for your next dinner party or special occasion.

Instructions

Making the Caramel Coating

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Mix the sugar and water in a saucepan, cooking over low heat. Stir constantly until the sugar is dissolved.

3. Turn up the heat to medium-high and let mixture come to a boil, without stirring, for about 15 minutes. It is done when it reaches a caramel color.

4. Pour the caramel mixture over the inside of the individual ramekins or custard cups. Be sure to coat the entire inside of the cups.

5. Set the cups aside. If the caramel hardens too much before adding the cheesecake flan mixture, heat the cups in hot water bath.

Making the Cheesecake Flan

6. Let the cream cheese, eggs and butter come to room temperature.

7. Mix the water, butter and sugar until thoroughly combined. Next, add the eggs one at a time.

8. Add the cream cheese and vanilla, mixing well.

9. Fold in the condensed milk and evaporated milk into the mixture.

10. Pour the mixture into the custard cups. Place the custard cups into a deep baking pan. Fill the pan half way with warm water.

11. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes. Test if done by inserting a knife in the center. If it comes out clean, it's done.

12. Cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes, then chill in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours or longer.
