Make The Most Delicious Homemade Chocolate Fondue

Enjoy a chocolate fondue with friends.

Fondues are communal dishes in Switzerland that are eaten out of a pot on a burner to keep them warm and melted. Cheese fondues are the most common, but there are many options, including chocolate. Chocolate fondues use the same concept as cheese fondues. You boil the chocolate, melt it and dip into it anything you'd like.

Instructions

1. Heat a half-cup of the cream in a heavy sauce pot over medium heat until it comes to a low boil. Remove it from the heat and add the chocolate. Let the chocolate sit in the hot cream for three to five minutes to soften. Whisk it in completely with the cream, then stir in the liqueur.

2. Transfer the fondue into a fondue pot to set on the table for serving.

3. Arrange your favorite dipping pieces around the pot for people to pick up and dip. You should also give them a fork to dip it with because the chocolate fondue will be hot. If the mixture starts getting hard, add a little bit of the leftover cream. You also can set it over heat again and stir.
