Make Angel Hair Pasta and Havarti Cream Sauce
Danish cheese maker Hanne Nielsen created Havarti cheese in the 19th century, according to a report from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Denmark. This semi-soft cheese has a mild, buttery taste. When added to a cream sauce, Havarti provides a different twist on the traditional Alfredo sauce. This recipe call for angel hair pasta, but you can serve Havarti cream sauce over any type of pasta. You can also try this versatile sauce over baked chicken, steamed vegetables or shrimp, or as a pizza sauce.
Instructions
1. Start the water for boiling the pasta. Fill a large pot with water and place it on the stove on high heat.
2. Peel the garlic and chop until it is finely minced.
3. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the minced garlic, cream and white pepper with a spoon. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and simmer the sauce for 8 to 10 minutes or until it is thickened.

5. When the sauce has thickened, add the grated Havarti cheese and stir constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the parsley.
6. Pour the Havarti cream sauce over the angel hair pasta in the bowl. Toss the sauce and pasta together, mixing well. To make it extra cheesy, you can add another 1/2 cup of shredded Havarti and sprinkle more Parmesan over the tossed pasta and sauce. Serve immediately.
