Finish Pot Stickers

Chinese pot stickers make an easy-to-eat appetizer for any family gathering or party. Once you've spent a few hours making them and have gotten them browned in the frying pan, you still need to finish them up. The secret to getting perfectly cooked pot stickers is quick and easy.

Instructions

1. Fry your pot stickers until each side is an evenly shaded golden brown. At this point, it's time to add the water to begin the steaming process, which is the last step in cooking pot stickers.

2. Add water to the frying pan containing the pot stickers. Pour the water slowly so that none of the oil that is already in the pan splashes up onto you. Take this time to make sure the pot stickers are evenly spaced in the pan.

3. Cover the frying pan with the lid, turn the heat down to a low temperature and let the pot stickers steam for approximately 10 minutes. Cooking times on stoves vary, so be sure to keep an eye on them. Shake the frying pan gently at least once during the steaming process to make sure the pot stickers aren't sticking to the pan.

4. After the pot stickers have fully cooked, remove the from the frying pan and set them on a plate. This helps the water drain out of them prior to serving them. Do not set them on a paper towel, because they will stick to it while draining.
