Make A Traditional Greek Frappe

A traditional Greek frappe is a simple summer coffee drink that, believe it or not, you can make with instant coffee. If you normally frown upon instant coffee, you will learn to love it. Make a Greek frappe with this fast, simple recipe that requires no hot water and no time for cooling when you need a hit of Joe fast on a hot summer day.

Instructions

1. Place 1 tsp. of instant coffee, 1 cup of cold water, 1 tsp. of brown sugar or flavored syrup and as much cream as you like into a pitcher or container with a pour spout.

2. Use a hand mixer or electric mixer to blend the ingredients until a generous foam is created. When it seems there is nothing but foam, you are done mixing your Greek frappe.

3. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour your foamy mixture over the top. If you like, you can add whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, a peppermint candy stick or any other garnish you like.

4. Stick a straw into your cold coffee. Sip and enjoy.
