Cook Lit'L Smokies With Jelly In A Crock Pot

Lit'l Smokies are a cocktail sausage offered by Hillshire Farm. The sausages come in a variety of flavors such as cheddar, beef and turkey. The small cocktail links are fully cooked when you purchase them. People often serve them as a snack or appetizer because they make a convenient finger food. A popular preparation calls for cooking the sausages in grape jelly and chili sauce in a slow cooker, which infuses them with a sweet and tangy flavor. Serve the sausages at a party, event or at home for a quick meal.

Instructions

1. Open the package of Lit'l Smokies and place them into a slow cooker.

2. Pour the chili sauce and jelly into a saucepan onto the stove top.

3. Heat the chili sauce and jelly over medium heat until the jelly melts. Stir the chili sauce and grape jelly frequently.

4. Pour the mixture over the Lit'l Smokies. Stir the Lit'l Smokies and jelly mixture until they are combined well.

5. Cook the ingredients over low heat for 6 to 8 hours until the sauce thickens.
