Eat Pistachio Nuts

Pistachio nuts can be a fabulous treat and fun to eat. You can put them out at a party, or eat them while watching your favorite movies. They are salty, yet sweet--the perfect combo. Sometimes you might see them in a store or a bulk nut shop, and you might wonder open them. Here is how you can eat pistachio nuts easily without hurting your teeth.

Instructions

1. Buy a bag of pistachio nuts that are already semi-opened if you can. If you cannot find any in the store that are opened, then you can try the shelled ones. Sometimes people prefer to buy the closed shelled ones because they are less expensive and sometimes organic.

2. Take your pistachios and place them in a big bowl. Make sure you also have a bowl big enough for the shells as you de-shell them and eat them. If you are eating closed pistachio nuts, then you will need a nut cracker. It will require more of an effort in your pistachio nut eating.

3. Take a pistachio nut out of the bowl and place the whole pistachio in your mouth. Taste the salt and suck it off the shell and nut.

4. Take the pistachio out of your mouth and use both forefingers to crack and pull off the shell. The effort of eating a pistachio nut can be quite pleasing and can also slow you down from eating too many nuts. Pistachios are known to be high in fat content.

5. Now put the empty shells in the separate bowl. Research how much is a healthy serving of pistachio nuts in one sitting. Usually this is mentioned on the side of the pistachio bag, and you can view the fat, sodium and sugar content.
