Use Garlic Salt For Seasoning Fresh Vegetables

Garlic salt makes seasoning vegetables easy.

So you're making dinner and you've picked up a bunch of fresh vegetables at the farmer's market or grocery store to serve with your main dish. Make it enjoyable by seasoning cooked vegetables before serving them. The key is to flavor without overpowering the vegetables with a slew of seasonings, especially the unhealthy kinds such as salt. One solution to this if you love garlic is to season your vegetables with garlic salt. Garlic salt is garlic powder combined with salt. The combined flavors will give you just the right amount of garlic and salt to season your vegetables.

Instructions

1. Cook your vegetables however you like. You can steam, grill, saute or boil your veggies.

2. Drain any water from the vegetables depending on how you cooked them.

3. Toss the vegetables with a drizzle of olive oil or margarine, enough to lightly coat the vegetables. This will give the garlic salt something to stick to.

4. Sprinkle 1/8 of a teaspoon of garlic salt over your vegetables to start. If you think it's not seasoned enough after tasting, simply add more garlic salt, 1/8 teaspoon at a time, until you are satisfied with the flavor.
