Cool Fudge

Whether it's chocolate fudge, mint fudge, vanilla fudge, maple fudge or any of the many variations of fudge that makes mouths water, it is imperative that it cools correctly. The last thing you want is your recipe ruined during the cooling stages. Here are some tips on properly cool fudge next time you make a tasty batch.

Instructions

1. Clear out a space in your fridge where you can cool the fudge. The last thing you want to do is have a hot pan of fudge in your hands, open the fridge and realize you have to rearrange stuff while balancing the pan in your hand. Take a moment to clear a space in the fridge.

2. Carry the pan evenly in your hands. Remember that the fudge is still in a liquid state. Walk slowly and evenly to the fridge so the fudge does not splatter or move up the sides of the pan. That would cause an uneven layer.

3. Place the fudge in the fridge.

4. Add a layer of wax paper over the top so that any errant food doesn't fall into the fudge and ruin your recipe.

5. Allow your fudge to set for 1 hour. It may be ready in as few as 20 minutes depending on the contents of your fudge, but to be on the safe side, give it at least an hour to cool.
