Sell A Wine Cellar

A wine cellar can range in size from the proportions of a small refrigerator to the size of an entire room in your home. Some people have the capital to invest in a full-sized, true wine cellar. For everyone else, however, smaller wine cellar designs are more the norm. A cellar is a good investment if you keep up with it, but one that can become costly over time. If you've grown weary of maintaining your wine cellar, it may be time to sell it.

Instructions

1. Join an online forum at a website devoted to wine enthusiasts or people who own their own wine cellars. Often you can find someone willing to buy a wine cellar from other users in popular forums.

2. Put your wine cellar up for auction on an auction website like eBay.com (see Resources below). eBay is a great place for other wine enthusiasts to find wine cellars--making it an ideal place for you to recoup some of your investment.

3. Speak to people in your office, or to your friends and family to see if anyone is interested in it. You may be able to find buyers whom you didn't think were at all interested in such products.

4. Advertise your wine cellar in a local classified ad column for your newspaper or in the Pennysaver. Many people still use such resources to buy and sell a wide range of items.

5. Provide pictures of the wine cellar, as well as detailed information about its condition. The best pictures are digital and are taken in good lighting and from a comfortable distance, so that the entire wine cellar is visible. Additional photos, like those of the interior or of detailing, are also beneficial.
