2. Cut amount of bag needed from vacuum roll. Make a foodsaver bag using the seal option.

3. Place item in bag. Make sure to leave some room at the top to properly vacuum and to allow the food saver to work properly. This is also convenient if you open and need to reseal. Make sure to lay the bag so that the ridged side is on the bottem.

4. Open the top of the foodsaver. You will see the caption vacuum channel and a large oval area. This is where you place the open ends of the bag. Make sure bag is in the vacuum channel. Then close lid.

5. Press down firmly with both hands. You will see the green light go on and hear a vacuum sound. Keep lid pressed down until green light goes off. You will see the bag vacuum. If it does not start vacuuming after a few seconds open lid and check vacuum channel. The bag might not be properly placed into the channel.
