Pick A Theme For A Cooking Club

Cooking clubs are a great new trend getting moms and families back in the kitchen and out of the drive-thru. It is vital to cook fast, healthy meals for our families and being a member of a cooking club helps you do that with recipe exchanges, great tips and support. Use these steps to learn pick a great theme for your cooking club.

Instructions

1. Get your cooking club members together for a planning meeting. Use this opportunity to set meeting dates, establish how the club will work and pick a theme.

2. Create culture. Choose to have a cultural theme. This can be done one of two ways: you can choose one culture, say Japanese, and make that the basis for the entire club, or you can host different culture nights rotating through different types of cuisine each month.

3. Use a particular meal or type of food for the theme of the cooking club. This could be a club for desserts or a club for beef. Either way you will have endless opportunities to explore one particular food or meal.

4. Base your cooking club off a skill level or style. This could be all Tepanyaki food or different kinds of sushi making. Make it fun whatever you decide and make it a learning experience for all. If you all have different skills, rotate months and teach the others what you know.

5. Set your ingredients. Pick a theme of set ingredients or number of ingredients. You could be the five ingredient cooking club, where everything members make has to only be five ingredients.
