Use A Soda Siphon

Use a Soda Siphon

Create a classic bar feel in your home by using a soda siphon to make cocktails. Soda siphons are used to carbonate and dispense club soda and seltzer. Club soda contains a pinch of baking soda and seltzer does not. The powerful jet of carbonated liquid must be dispensed carefully to avoid spilling. Use your soda siphons to make original mixed drinks or squirt rowdy patrons from across the bar when they need to cool down.

Instructions

1. Press the lever to make sure the inner chamber has discharged all its gas.

2. Unscrew the top of the soda siphon and rinse every part under warm running water.

3. Wipe down all the outer surfaces of the soda siphon with a paper towel to prevent water spots.

4. Pour the cold still water into the base chamber of the soda siphon until it has nearly reached the top. Drop in baking soda or a soda tablet now if you want club soda instead of seltzer.

5. Replace the top of the soda siphon and secure it tightly.

6. Remove the cover to the charger and dispose of any discharged co2 cartridges.

7. Insert a new co2 cartridge with the narrow end facing toward the soda siphon.

8. Thread the cap back onto the charger slowly until the gas in the cartridge releases into the bottle.

9. Shake the entire soda siphon for at least 15 seconds to allow for the carbon dioxide gas to dissolve into the water.

10. Dispense the club soda or seltzer slowly by gently squeezing the trigger and aiming at the side of the glass.
