Margarita Mixer Work

How Does a Margarita Mixer Work?

Margarita Mixer

The margarita mixer is not a souped-up blender. Unlike a blender they have a compressor, evaporator and a condenser in it. It actually freezes the mixture in a specified amount of time. The combined functions of the three specific parts pulls the heat out of the mixture and turns it to slush. The drink is then churned over the evaporator to freeze and make the perfect frozen drink. The key to the perfect frozen drink is the amount of sugar in the mix. And the amount will be different depending on the machine and quantity of drinks you are making.

The Margarita

The margarita is a drink which includes tequila, triple sec and lime juice. There are as many different versions of how much of each ingredient should be used as there are margarita drinkers. The main difference between the margarita and the frozen margarita is a mix that contains sugar. Most include sugar and a lime puree or powder. When you use the mix, you wouldn't add the lime juice. You prepare the margarita glass by wetting the edge with lime juice and dipping it in a grainy salt. After pouring in the frozen drink, the glass is decorated with a wedge or slice of lime.

Where to Find Margarita Mixers

They can be purchased at any department store or specialty kitchen store. The single mixer ranges in price from about $40 to almost $1,000. They have become so popular that you can rent them for a party or special event. You can even get them with several compartments for different kinds of frozen drinks. If you want a good mixer at a reduced price, leasing companies sell off their used mixers as new models come out. Most margarita mixers can be used to make any frozen drink or even the non-alcoholic slushies for the kids.
