Make A Yogurt And Fruit Dessert

In today's day and age, it seems impossible to make a healthy dessert that is decadent to the taste buds and not damaging to the waistline. There is of course the fruit parfait, which is certainly nice, but also been done a million times. Here is a quick and easy recipe for a fruit and yogurt pie that you can whip together in 10 minutes.

Instructions

1. Remove the pre-made graham cracker pie crust from its packaging and set it on the table.

2. Fill the bottom of the pie crust with your low-fat or non-fat strawberry yogurt. The layer should take up about 1/3 of the depth of the pie crust.

3. Add an entire layer of berries on top of the yogurt. Aesthetics count during this part of the preparation. Make circular rows alternating strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and even raspberries if they're in season.

4. Top the entire dessert with a layer of whipped cream. Using a pre-made whipped cream such as Cool Whip or its generic equivalent is the easiest way to go. Just remember to set it out on the counter for a few minutes before you try to work with it, so it spreads nicely.

5. Shave chocolate on top of the yogurt and fruit dessert.

6. Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and place in the fridge until you are ready to serve.
