Ideas For Fruit Punch

Fruit Punch is served at an array social gatherings and functions.

From high school dances to private get-togethers and parties, fruit punch is an option that provides a special drink without alcohol. There is an almost endless array of recipes for different fruit punches. Every common fruit has been incorporated into one recipe or another. Your choice of punch is only limited by the personal taste of you and your guests.

Frothy Fruit Punch

This type of punch goes by many names, "grog" being one of them. It combines fruit, soda and sherbet ice cream for a taste sensation that mixes dessert with a beverage. This type of punch is a hit at children's birthday parties, not only due to its sweet flavor but also because the sherbet lends the punch a frothy, bright color. Mix lemon lime soda with pineapple juice. Add a can of orange juice concentrate and lime sherbet. Serve this drink cold and add fresh fruit, such as strawberries for a garnish.

Sparkling Italian Fruit Punch

For a fruit punch adults are more likely to appreciate, this recipe adds Italian soda into the mix. Coupled with homemade sugar syrup it doesn't sacrifice the sweetness that fruit punch is known for. The ingredients are thawed frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed frozen lemon juice concentrate, pineapple juice, water, sugar, strawberries and sparkling Italian lemon-lime soda. Combine the fruit juices together and stir and then boil the water and sugar in a sauce pan until it becomes a syrup. Allow it to cool and pour it into the fruit juices. Add the Italian soda. Cool the drink. Pour water into a ring mold, add the strawberries and put it in the freezer until frozen. Pour the drink into a punch bowl and add the strawberry ice mold, to keep your punch cool while the drink is being served.

Apple Cider Punch

Not all fruit punches are served cold. Make a warm apple cider punch to serve during the autumn and winter months. It will be a welcome warm-up to guests coming in from the cold weather. Your ingredients are apple cider, cranberry juice, orange juice, apricot nectar, two sticks of cinnamon and sugar. Pour all ingredients in a sauce pan and allow it to simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve the drink warm. Further garnish is with clove decorated orange slices.
