Dress up as a bagel for your next costume party.
The perfect costume is one that everybody recognizes but that no one else is wearing. That allows you to be unique without leaving people scratching their heads in confusion. For this kind of originality, you can dress up as a bagel -- in this case, a toasted bagel dusted with poppy seeds. This is a surprisingly simple costume to make. Your biggest problem with this costume probably will be trying to get it through the door.
Instructions
1. Trace four circles on to the beige sheet using your tire. Make sure the circles are in separate places and do not overlap.
2. Cut the circles out of the sheet.
3. Trace a smaller circle on the inside of each circle, using a mixing bowl or other shape, and cut that out so the inside is open.
4. Sew seed beads in small bunches on two of the circles to look like poppy seeds.
5. Sew two circles together by sewing a line around the outside and inside of the circles. Leave a small space open to add the stuffing. Make sure you sew one poppy seed circle and one plain circle. The decorated side will be the outside, and the plain side will go against your body where no one will see it.
6. Sew the other two circles together in the same way.
7. Fill each of the circles with stuffing, and finish sewing them together.
8. Lightly spray the front of each bagel with spray paint to make it look like it has been toasted.
9. Sew a small piece of ribbon on either side of one bagel, as far apart as are from each other, and attach it to the other bagel so that you can wear them. The poppy seed side of each one should be showing, and the bagels should hang off your shoulders.
10. Put on the beige clothing, and hang the bagels from your shoulders.
