Everyone has their own favorite pizza combination.
While pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms are the top three toppings requested for American pizzas, a number of other toppings are almost as popular. Each pizza combination has its own fans, and pizza eaters tend to find a combo they love and stick with it. Pepperoni, ham and olives is a classic combination, well known in pizza restaurants across the country. Save yourself the money and have some fun by making your own
Instructions
1. Set the pizza dough on the counter to thaw if it is frozen. Check to see if it is ready to work by pushing a finger into the center of the dough. If your finger goes all the way into the dough without any obstruction, the dough is ready to be used.
2. Set the dough ball onto a floured counter. Push and stretch the ball to create a pancake-shaped disc. Stretch the edges of the disc, turning and stretching it around and around, until it is the size of your pizza pan.
3. Place the dough into the pizza pan. Pour about 1 cup of sauce onto the center of the dough and use a large spoon or ladle to smear the sauce around all over the surface of the dough. Stop the sauce when it is 1/2 inch from the edge of the dough, to create a crust on the edge of the pizza.
4. Sprinkle 1 to 2 cups of shredded mozzarella on top of the pizza sauce, depending on your taste preferences.
5. Place 30 pepperonis on top of the pizza, placing them equally all over the surface of the cheese.
6. Stack three slices of ham on top of each other. Cut the ham slices into 1-inch strips and the strips into 1-inch pieces. Place the ham pieces all over the top of the pizza, setting them in between the pepperoni slices.
7. Open a can of black olives and drain all the liquid from the can. Sprinkle handfuls of olives all over the surface of the pizza.
8. Place the pizza pan into a preheated oven that is set at 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow the pizza to bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is brown all around the edges.
