Make The 13 Minute Ziploc Omelet

The kitchen is a gathering place for families and guests, so why not make it a little more lively. The next time you invite friends over for breakfast, rather than asking everyone to bring a dish to pass, try making omelets in a Ziploc bag. Preparing omelets in a Ziploc bag allows everyone to share in the fun and create their own special variety of omelet.

Instructions

1. Cut up a variety of ingredients for the omelets such as ham, mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomatoes. Put some cheese and salsa in bowls. Fill a large pot with water, and allow it to boil on the stove.

2. Give each guest a Ziploc bag and two eggs. Crack the eggs into the Ziploc bag. Shake the bag to mix the eggs. Add omelet ingredients.

3. Push all the air out of the bag as you close it. Drop the bag into the boiling water. Let it cook for about 13 minutes.

4. Remove the bag from the boiling water using tongs. Lay it on a towel. Cut the top of the bag open and gently roll out the omelet onto a plate.
