Make Pizza For Pets

Dogs will eat just about anything, while cats are far more picky eaters. However, if you make something special for your cat or dog, like a pizza made with tender love and care, no pet can resist the temptation to gobble it down in one bite -- at least the dog in your life. What's more, if you make this pizza, it will be far more nutritious than most food your dog or cat usually eats.

Instructions

1. Blend 1 cup of uncooked oats, 3 cups of flour, 1 cup of grated Romano, mozzarella or Parmesan cheese in a bowl, then add 2 tbsp. of softened margarine or shortening and cut them into the dry ingredients.

2. Add to that mixture about 2/3 cup of tomato sauce, 1/3 cup of water and one beaten egg, and knead the dough slightly. Refrigerate the dough for about one hour while you heat up your oven to 375 degrees.

3. Take the dough from the refrigerator when it is chilled, and divide it into two parts. Using a rolling pin, roll both parts to a thickness of about 1 inch, then cut each into squares that are about 2 inches by 2 inches.

4. Place the pieces on a cookie sheet that hasn't been greased. With a pastry brush, lightly cover the biscuits with cooking oil and prick each with a fork. Sprinkle them with garlic powder, then bake them until they are golden brown which takes about 10 minutes.

5. Let them cool before you serve them. Put the leftover biscuits in the refrigerator.
