Serve Bruschetta

If you are looking for an inexpensive yet tasty appetizer that is a crowd favorite, then look no further than Bruschetta. With some diced tomatoes, basil, a few herbs and spices all served on hard rustic bread, your guests will be begging for more.

Instructions

1. Place the bruschetta on your serving platter. There is no right or wrong way for this portion of the procedure. The biggest thing is that you make it look aesthetically pleasing. You can make a shape with your Bruschetta (like a star) or simply line them along the edges. Just make sure they are on a plate where they are easy to grab.

2. Add any additional cheese onto your bruschetta once you have them on a plate. Many people like to sprinkle a little more Parmesan cheese on the appetizer at the last moment. (You can never have enough cheese.) By doing this once they are already plated, you will prevent the cheese from spilling off, since you won't have to transfer it from the cutting board to a plate.

3. Hold the plate of bruschetta in one hand and a stack of napkins in the other. Even if you are holding an intimate dinner party for just a few friends, it's always nice to pass the appetizers. Especially if you are the chef, because then you can get the compliments. It also allows you to intermingle and greet each guest a few times throughout the evening. As they take the bruschetta, offer them a napkin as well.

4. Refill the plate when there is one bruschetta left. Some people feel they are being rude if they take the last appetizer on a plate. To avoid them feeling awkward, simply refill the plate before it is empty. If you have a guest who is less than shy and snaps it up, well then that is okay as well.
