Ingredients Of Fiesta Taco Salad

Many cooks have a recipe for fiesta taco salad that they pull out of their recipe boxes for meals needing light and zippy fare. With the tortilla chip base, the spicy chicken and the standard salad ingredients, fiesta taco salad often pleases a diverse crowd. Gather the ingredients to make fiesta taco salad and create a winning entree that will satisfy the family.


Instructions


1. Open the taco seasoning packet and sprinkle the contents over the chicken breasts. Rub the seasoning ingredients into the raw meat with your fingers.








2. Place the chicken breasts onto the cutting board and cut them into thin strips with the chef's knife.


3. Pour 2 tbsp. of vegetable oil into the skillet and heat the oil for two minutes over medium-high heat.


4. Add the sliced chicken to the oil and cook the chicken. Stir the chicken while it cooks to prevent burning and remove the skillet from the heat after cooking the chicken for between 20 and 30 minutes. Allow the chicken to cool.


5. Assemble the salad. Place the tortilla chips into the bottom of the bowl. Add the shredded lettuce over the chips. Sprinkle the cooked and cooled chicken over the lettuce. Add the beans, green onions, black olives and cheese over the lettuce and chicken.


6. Toss the salad ingredients lightly. Serve the salad with ranch dressing and salsa.
