Make Leftover Grilled Pork Chops Tender

Reheated pork chops can be just as tender as freshly cooked.

Grilled pork chops have tender and juicy meat, when fresh. However, if you end up with leftovers, they require preparation to make sure the meat remains tender. Reheated grilled pork chops will have a rubbery consistency that is difficult to cut and chew. However, a simple marinade will penetrate the meat and make leftover grilled pork chops tender. You will need basic ingredients and at least two hours.

Instructions

1. Combine 2 cups orange juice, 2 tbsp. lemon juice and 1/2 cup water in a baking pan. Stir with a spoon to blend the liquids and place the pork chops into the marinade.

2. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and place into the refrigerator. Leave the pork chops to marinate for two to 12 hours. The longer you allow them to marinate, the more tender the meat will be.

3. Pour 4 tbsp. of the pork chop marinade into a skillet and place over low heat on a stove top. Place the marinated pork chops into the skillet and cover. Leave the pork chops to cook for 10 minutes.

4. Turn off the heat and allow the pork chops to set in the pan for five minutes. Remove the pork chops from the pan and serve while hot.
