Convert A Waffle Recipe To Pancakes

Waffles and pancakes are fun to make on mornings when the whole family has a chance to sleep in. Waffle and pancake recipes are basically the same. They include flour, sugar, eggs, milk and baking powder. Many waffle recipes can simply be converted to pancake recipes by pouring the batter in a frying pan instead of in a waffle maker. Depending on the recipe you are using, there are a few rules you can follow to make sure you get your pancake recipe just right.

Instructions

1. Eliminate the oil from the recipe. Pancakes don't need oil so you can just disregard that part of the ingredients on your waffle recipe.

2. Stick with the waffle recipe measurements for your flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk and eggs.

3. Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. You now have your batter for your pancakes.

4. Add a little bit of milk to your pancake batter if you like your pancakes a little on the thinner side. Other than this minor adjustment, you should be ready to cook your pancakes.

5. Spray a pan with non-stick cooking spray and then melt a tbsp. of butter in the pan. Pour 1/3 cup of batter at a time in the frying pan. Flip the pancake when you begin to see plenty of bubbles at the top of the batter. Wait a minute or two and your pancakes are done.
