Make Wall Stickers

One of the easiest ways to spice up your walls is with stickers. Use wall stickers to complement an existing theme or create a whole new color scheme and concept with stickers alone. Since they're stickers, you can take them off, rearrange and change them as often as you'd like, perfect for a kids' room or rental where you aren't allowed to paint. Make your own custom wall stickers to save money or to simply create a one-of-a-kind design your friends will envy.

Instructions

1. Doodle a sketch for your sticker on regular white scratch paper until you come up with a design you're happy with. Create a stencil of your design on card stock.

2. Trace the design on to the back of a piece of contact paper with a marker. Color the front of the contact paper in with markers as you desire. Cut out the design.

3. Place the contact paper design flat against the wall. Start at the bottom of the design and peel away a few inches of the backing paper. Smooth the design down with your fingers or use the smooth side of a popsicle stick to gently press the design down.

4. Continue to smooth down sections and peel the backing paper off. When smoothing down sections, start from the center and smooth outward to remove any air bubbles. Your design may be in several different pieces so carefully connect the pieces to create your complete image.
