1. Choose a paper or a fabric with which to create the wine bottle gift tag. The higher quality card stock you choose, the more professional the tag will look. Find card stock at your local craft store.
2. Determine what message will be inscribed on your wine tag. Knowing how many words and images will be on your tag will help you determine its size and shape.
3. Print your message on your card using your computer, or hand write your message using colorful pens.
4. Cut out the desired shape for the gift tag. You can use scrap-booking scissors to create unusual shapes.
5. Punch a whole at the top of the gift tag. Once again, scrap-booking supplies will provide for a wider-range of patterns and will allow you to make creative holes and designs on your tag.
6. Add embellishments to your tag, such as glitters, stickers, gems, buttons or other crafty materials. If the tag is for a wine that is gift is for a specific holiday, use embellishments that are related to the festivities.
7. Insert a ribbon in the hole of the gift tag and tie it together to form a loop that is about a third smaller than the widest part of the wine bottle. This wya the tag will hang from the neck of the bottle.
8. Attach the gift tag to the bottle by passing the ribbon loop over the top of the wine bottle. If the loop created is of the right dimension, your tag should sit snugly on the
