Sour Cream And Broccoli Salad

Chop the broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

Getting your family to eat broccoli can sometimes be a chore, but adding some different flavors such as sour cream and bacon into the mix may just do the trick. This easy-to-make salad is creamy, savory and slightly sweet all at the same time, and it may even surprise the most finicky eaters. Broccoli salad is also very versatile. Bring it to a summertime barbecue, serve it alongside sandwiches at lunch, or even make it for a Thanksgiving side dish.

Instructions

1. Chop 1/2 of an onion and 3 slices of bacon, if using, and set aside.

2. Whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar in a large mixing bowl until completely smooth.

3. Gradually add the chopped broccoli, onion and pepper, and the cranberries, raisins and bacon if you are using them.

4. Toss and stir well to coat the broccoli and other ingredients with the dressing.

5. Seal and refrigerate overnight before serving.
