Make Eggs In A Basket

Eggs in a Basket is a quick and easy breakfast comfort food made in a frying pan or in the oven. Since it's simple to make, kids will love to help prepare Eggs in a Basket and will have fun eating it, too.

Instructions

Using the Frying Pan Method

1. Put a frying pan on the stove. Set the burner to medium heat. Allow the pan to heat for a few minutes. Add butter.

2. Use a cookie cutter or small glass to make a hole in the center of a slice of bread. Once the butter has melted in the pan, place the bread in the pan.

3. Wait for the bread to brown slightly. Turn it over. Add a little more butter.

4. Break an egg. Pour the contents of the egg into the hole in the center of the bread

5. Cook the bread and egg until the white of the egg becomes solid.

6. Turn over the bread and egg with a large spatula. Cook the egg until it's firm. Add the piece of bread that was cut out to the pan. Fry it until it is lightly brown. Place it on top of the egg to create a lid for the basket.

7. Remove the bread from the pan with a wide spatula. Allow it to cool for a moment before eating.

Using the Oven Method

8. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

9. Grease a muffin tin. Press a biscuit in each opening of the muffin tin. Press the biscuit into the tin to create a well in the center.

10. Break eggs and pour the contents into each opening.

11. Bake for 10 to 20 minutes, until the egg white is solid.

12. Remove the muffin tin from the oven. Allow to cool for a few minutes. Remove muffins from the tin. Sprinkle each basket with cheese.
