Make A Mexican Shrimp Cocktail

Enjoy a zesty take on shrimp cocktail.

A classic shrimp cocktail makes an elegant beginning to any meal. By adding some zesty hot sauce and avocado, you add some zing to your appetizer. Use this recipe to delight your guests. Vary the size of the glass to make the appetizer heartier or lighter, depending on your needs and the number of guests you are serving.

Instructions

1. Fill the ice cream sundae or martini glass half full with orange juice.

2. Pour in 1/8 cup of katchup and mix well with orange juice.

3. Chop the parsley leaves into tiny pieces and add the chopped parsley leaves to the mixture.

4. Chop up onion into small pieces and add the onion to the cocktail.

5. Add several drops of hot sauce, adding more if you like the dish spicier. Mix the concoction well.

6. Slice the avocado using a sharp knife into small pieces. Save a quarter of the avocado for decoration. Add the small avocado pieces and the whole shrimp into the mixture until the glass is full.

7. Cut the last quarter of the avocado into thin wedge slices and place in a flower shape on top of the cocktail. Squeeze the juice from the lime slice on top of the avocado wedges.
