Make A Lowcarb Flax Meal Bread

Sandwiches make for a tasty lunch, but people with weight or health concerns often need to cut bread out of their diet. Bread is usually high in carbohydrates and isn't an option for diabetics. Flaxseed meal bread makes a great alternative thanks to its low-carbohydrate, high fiber content. It is also gluten-free and contains a number of good fats and antioxidants. A flaxseed meal focaccia bread substitute can be eaten alone with some olive oil or enjoyed as a sandwich base.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl then add the olive oil, agave nectar and water. Whisk the mixture together.

3. Pull out the second mixing bowl and add the flaxseed meal, cream of tartar, salt and baking soda.

4. Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture, and whisk constantly. If you pour everything together too fast, the mixture will clump together. Once the mixture is smooth, wait for three minutes for the mixture to thicken.

5. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and cook at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. Once finished, remove from the oven and let cool for an hour before cutting into the bread.
