What Should You Use To Melt Nacho Cheese

Nachos and cheese makes a tasty snack or meal.

Nacho cheese makes a tasty dip and an excellent appetizer with tortilla chips for parties, ball games or movies. It's also quick, easy to make and customizable, dependent on the flavor you're looking for. You can use either a microwave or a saucepan to melt the cheese.

Preparation

The basic ingredient is cheese, usually Velveeta, Cheddar or a combination of the above, or your personal favorite. Simply shred or cut the cheese into smaller slices and place in either a microwavable container or saucepan. To customize your dip, add pepper, butter, cooked ground beef, spices or any other appealing ingredient.

Microwave

Place your cheese(s) and any other extra ingredients inside a microwavable container. Set your microwave on high for 30 seconds to two minutes, depending on the quantity desired. Monitor, check the consistency, and stir accordingly. It's ready when it's warm and fully melted!

Stovetop

Place your cheese(s) and any other extra ingredients inside a saucepan. The size of the saucepan is dependent on the quantity desired. Heat on low and stir often until the cheese is warm and fully melted.
