whiten-false-teeth

Tooth whitening toothpastes, gels and other products can help give you a bright and beautiful smile. Unfortunately, these products cannot be used on false teeth, as they can ruin the false teeth and even damage your gums. There are several other methods you can use to clean your false teeth and get them back to their original color.

Instructions

1. Start by whitening your teeth before you get your false teeth. When you get false teeth, your dentist will match the color of the false teeth to the teeth in your mouth. By getting your teeth whitened before you get your false teeth, you can ensure that the false teeth will be a bright, white tone.

2. Brush your false teeth with baking soda at the end of each day. Baking soda removes both stains and offending odors from false teeth. Get the brushes of your toothbrush wet enough so that baking soda sticks to the bristles. Dip the end of your brush into the baking soda and gently brush your false teeth. Do this for about 60 to 90 seconds. Use warm water to rinse your false teeth once you've finished.

3. Use vinegar to clean your false teeth as another option. Using a concentration of 60 percent water and 40 percent vinegar, soak your false teeth for anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes. Remove the teeth from the concentration and dip the end of your toothbrush into it. Then, brush your false teeth for 60 to 90 seconds. Rinse the teeth thoroughly in warm water to remove the vinegar. Do this every night to keep your false teeth clean and white.

4. Soak your false teeth every night in a combination of water and a mild dish soap as a third option. It may seem like a no-brainer but this soap is an easy way to remove the stains from your false teeth. After a week or so, you will even notice your teeth looking a little brighter. Place no more than a pea-size amount of dish soap into 1/2 cup of warm water. Let the teeth soak for about 5 to 10 minutes and then brush them in the same way as if you were using vinegar. Rinse the teeth a few times to make sure there is no soap left on them.

5. Use a denture cleaner (Efferdent, for example) and a denture brush to clean your teeth at least once a day to remove stains. Do this each night after you have done one of the methods listed in Steps 2 through 4, as a way to thoroughly clean your false teeth.

Tips Warnings

Steps 2 through 4 are all separate methods to whiten your false teeth. In other words, you shouldn't soak your false teeth in dish soap and then brush them with baking soda. Try out each method to learn which one works best for you. Brush your false teeth after every meal. This helps keep all of your teeth clean and white. Avoid drinks and foods that stain false teeth. Coffee and soda are two products that badly stain false teeth.

The tips listed above will simply help to keep your false teeth their original color. The only way that you can truly whiten false teeth is to visit a dentist. These individuals use a special product made specifically for false teeth. This is why it's so important to get your teeth professionally whitened before you receive your false teeth. Never use bleach or any normal teeth whitening products on false teeth. You will damage the false teeth and be forced to get new ones.
