Mastercraft riding lawn mower
I have a Mastercraft riding lawn mower. Why cant I find repair or maitenace info online for it?? Have they changed names? The serial number etc is completely worn off. I dont even know what year it is. I need to change the v-belt on it and was looking for info on do this.. Hopefully I dont have to drop the deck but its looking that way. Been nice to have a diagram so I can make sure Im putting it back together properly. Dustpan I think mastercraft was an MTD product. Try looking on their site. Yep. MTD did make Mastercraft. Shows 13 14 series lawn tractors. Any idea what year it might be? They list them by years. Is Mastercraft Canadian Tire and MTD the same outfit?? They do make outdoor power equipment for anyone and will put any name on it for the right price. MTD has made products for many companies including Craftsman, Agway, Montgomery Wards, HomeDepot, and many hardware store chains. MTD made the mower for Mastercraft Canadian Tire. oh okay..anyone know where I can download a manual on replace the v-belt on this mower?? Thanks How do you engage the blades? Do you lower the deck height to also engage or is there a separate lever for height and engaging the blades? This may sound stupid,, But a lot of mowers have a decal on the UNDERSIDE of one of the running boards to show the routing of the belt,,, I guess so you can see it when you're on you're back feeding the mosquitoes??? check to see if yours has one,,, I hope this helps,,,, Roger In Canada, Canadian Tire use to carry a brand called Mastercraft which was their in house name. It is now called Yardworks. All are MTD products. You need to find: Model # Engine # Serial # This will ensure you get the right manual / info. I have looked under the running boards for a decal. No decal The serial number plate under the seat is totally unreadable. Well we got the belt replaced and now it wont go into gear !!! Grrrrr.... The deck is lowered to engage the blade. For the person that asked for the model number etc.. all I have is Mastercraft Canadian Tire 12 HP 38 year is about 1999 - 2000 When I win my million I want a John Deer !! You need to get the numbers I mentioned above to ensure you get the right parts. Do you have the owners manual? Sounds like the new drive belt might be a touch loose? Not engaging at all. Set the speed selector in the highest speed and see if it will go (if you haven't already).
