Connect Xbox Live To A Verizon Wireless Modem

Set up your Verizon Wireless modem for Xbox LIVE, then log in and start playing.


Verizon Wireless is a telecommunications company offering numerous services such as DSL Internet, cell phone service and television. It is also on the list as one of Xbox LIVE's compatible DSL Internet providers. Xbox LIVE gives Xbox 360 users the ability to connect their consoles to the Internet to play against millions of other gamers. One of the ways Verizon Wireless allows gamers to connect to Xbox LIVE is via modem.


Instructions


1. Connect your Verizon Wireless modem to your computer with the Ethernet cable provided in your self-installation package.


2. Plug the modem into the nearest phone jack using the phone cord accompanying your self-installation kit.


3. Power the modem by plugging its power cord, included in the self-installation kit, into the nearest wall outlet.


4. Insert the installation disc into your computer and allow the setup wizard to run. Follow the steps to finish configuring your modem.


5. Power off the Verizon Wireless modem by unplugging its power cable from the wall outlet.


6. Unplug the Ethernet cable from the computer's Ethernet port.


7. Plug the Ethernet cable into your Xbox 360 console. By the end of this step, the power to the modem should be off and the Xbox 360 and modem should be connected via Ethernet cable.


8. Turn off the Xbox 360 if neccessary.


9. Plug the Verizon Wireless modem back into the wall outlet and wait for the modem to completely power on. This means that the modem's Connect light will be illuminated.


10. Turn on the Xbox 360 console and log into Xbox LIVE.
